Biochemistry
The Department of Biochemistry has witnessed major advances in the last decade.
ACADEMICS: The Department is involved in teaching programs for MBBS, MD, BDS, MDS, PGDCGMLT, BSC Nursing & AHS.
CLINICAL: The Biochemistry Department is equipped with a state of art clinical laboratory that is functional 24 x 7. A whole array of Biochemical, Immunochemical & Specialized tests are performed in the Laboratory.
The Preparation for NABL is under way. The investigations carried out in the laboratory are approximately 12,000/day.
Many research publications in indexed journals are also carried out
The Department had eminent Professors & Heads heading the department like Dr. Chitre, Dr. Shanti Pamnani, Dr. Asha Naik amongst others.
The Department of Biochemistry involved in Covid related work, District Residency programme (DRP) (SGDH & NGDH), Satellite OPD at Ribander etc.
The Department strives to achieve good patient care & delivering the most accurate,precise, sspecific& sensitive results to the patients. The Department is gearing up to increase the number of specialized tests required for broad & superspecialty hospital in the near future.
